The World Needs BOLD Believers (2min)

Article by Jerame Nelson

I want to share with you a word of wisdom.

God has not called us to love everything and to love everybody’s opinions.

He has called us to sonship.

If Jesus agreed with every doctrine and was afraid about offending everybody, He would have never got nailed to a cross.

I believe God is going to raise up a generation that cares more about what their Father thinks about them. Their source of energy, their source of life, gratification and approval will come from the Father. It won’t come from a place of having to be popular or loved. When you live from the Father’s approval, you are free from performance and from striving under the fear of man. From this place, you will glorify your Father, just like Jesus because you’ll hear His voice and show the world the love of God.

Check out 1 Samuel 17:26-28 NIV:

“David asked the men standing near him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

They repeated to him what they had been saying and told him, “This is what will be done for the man who kills him.”

When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle.”

David was mocked by his own brother Eliab after he started to rise up in faith against Israel’s enemy. Today, the devil is trying to steal our boldness. He’s trying to steal our faith and get us in a place of intimidation.

Intimidation is a tactic of the enemy to try to strip a generation of their giant-slaying authority. The devil attempts to strip us of our authority by mocking and by saying negative words.

But,

Giant slayers are bold.

Giant slayers are not intimidated by man.

There’s going to be people who tell you that your dream is too big, but if your dream is not too big to pull it off in your own strength then it isn’t from God. God dreams stretch you to the max and cause you to have faith.

What God wants to do, is the impossible.

The impossible is what gives Him glory.
